How I beat The 10K Distance: Worthing 10K 2024
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.21 день назад
I ran Worthing 10K with the simple goal of running it better than last year. in 2023, I had a goal of achieving my first ever sub-50 10K and came up short with a chip time of 50:01 and Strava much more generous. This run to me is validation. It indicates that I am improving as a runner because I paced this run well and remained consistent throughout the 10K distance. Don't get me wrong it was a...

Youtube Reviewers: Liars or Truth Tellers?

Unfair Review? Saucony Triumph 22
Просмотров 6 тыс.Месяц назад
The Saucony Triumph 22 is one of the most exciting max cushion shoes for the average runner. It has the right balance between cushioning and return of energy, but that depends on your running, your pace and workout types. For me, I took this an opportunity to also address a few things that I have found to be irresponsible of reviewers on youtube. #.SauconyTriumph22 #SauconyTriumph #SauconyEndor...

Youre the godamn man, Aubrey. I love your style. Cheers from a fan, all the way from Australia 🦘
It's great to see a new brand like Mount to Coast entering the running shoe market! Always love the innovation.
Absolutely. Especially with the level of excellence they have landed with
really like the way you talk
Oh wow thank you, that’s appreciated.
When's the On Cloudboom Strike review dropping? ☁️
I’m so excited about that shoe. I don’t even know when it’s releasing. It will be exciting though
In the fall, I'm running a fasted 5x5: five road marathons in five days while water-only fasting. Would you recommend using the R1 for all five marathons? Or would you recommend rotating the R1 with another shoe every other day to allow the R1 midsole to relax? Thank you.
that sounds nuts....and dangerous.
@@kevinscott4938 I'm completely fat-adapted.
Honestly speaking I don’t think I can advise because I have never ventured out that far. Also… that’s incredibly tough. How do we follow you to stay updated
Heeyyyy! Welcome to the 40s club. It’s WILD in here! 🤩😎😏😏😝
tbh - it sucks lol
@@kevinscott4938 hahahah. I agree. I just keep trying to stay positive 🤣

That’s an amazingly quick time. Thank you so so much.
@@AubreyRunning Quick is relative Aubrey 😉
good video bro. detailed
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate it
no offense but pretending like 5 grams makes any difference to anything what so ever is really silly. Also the whole "foot shape" thing is basically a gimmick. remove the insole from this shoe and compare it to any regular running shoe. it's the same. in fact a 2E in many brands is wider in the toe than Altras widest last, which is the OG last. This model doesn't even use that last, this model uses the standard last which is even more narrow. Altras imo do not fit most feet well. They tend to be narrow in the heel, which is good and fine, but they're also narrow in the middle of the foot, which is where most folks have issues with the fit, then they get nice and wide towards the front, you know like basically every other modern running shoe, BUT it's mostly on the medial side only. Most folks that try on Altras will have their lateral side hanging off the side of the midsole at the midfoot and pinky toe. They aren't shaped right at all. I have 2 Altras. Two of their most expensive shoes and honestly the brand is not impressive. they make a ton of poorly informed designed choices and you can tell they don't have the same kind of talent as these bigger brands. Also their quality is in the tubes since they got bought out by VFC. I will say that one thing they get right is stability. Most of their shoes are quite stable inherently and that matters. Also they really killed it with the midsole on the Via Olympus 2. For me, that midsole is just right for max comfort. I just wish the shoe was more flexible and maybe had better colors or looked a little better. It doesn't look like a $165 shoe.
Believe me I’m not that influenced by weights of running shoes. Also… regardless of differences of opinions, thank you for taking time to share your views with me. I actually appreciate that and find it very rewarding when people do that
If you run, you’re a runner my friend! Don’t let anyone tell you anything else. And on top of that, you create, you inspire and you bring a positive message. You’re a treasure! I’m so glad for you that you’re inspired by the marathon and taking on the challenge of finishing one. It’s quite the journey! I hope you enjoy every bit of it ❤
I needed to hear this. Thank you so much for taking time to share with me. Truly appreciate it. Sometimes RUclips can be a dark place
I absolutely love my Mach 6. First Hoka shoes I’ve had and I’m smitten. I have to resist using them all the time and tempted to get another colourway in them. Fantastic shoes.
You should definitely try the rocket x2. That shoe will blow you away
Bro your review really helped me to make a choice, you should be awarded for these honest opinions 🔥
This is all it’s about, glad I could help you. Thank you so much
@flobergRuns -- Aubrey, this was a super motivating vlog! I love to see the hard WYUCK!
Thank you so much… truly appreciate that. Also I’m now officially old 😂😂😂
I‘m wondering how you evaluated your max heart rate and therefore your zone 2? Tbh it seems a bit high for your age (all the best by the way 🎉).
I use the farming Lactate threshold test and I’m guided by the results of that
You got this. 🎉 Running my first marathon in December so training starts July 22 for me

Great video Aubrey, you are the runner in the street's you tuber but you are definitely a runner! You've got this marathon thing, I have 100% confidence in you my friend. You’re the man Martin… thanks for being around all this time sir!
Great video and I hope you enjoy your marathon training. @flobergruns
Thank you Hannah I certainly am and thank you for getting this far into the video.
This is a bad take imho. The larger issue is reviewers who are in bed with manufacturers..🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
That’s fair… I agree on the reviewers part. There are also good folk with high integrity.
Hi Aubrey :) Just wanted to comment on the shit comments your getting.. Speed ain't making you a runner, consistency is! However you are fast! Nobody expects everyday runners to be 16min 5k 🤣 which is the exact reason your content is so relatable :) I myself is turning 30 this month with a rather new pb for 5k which is 21:32 but you are truly my main inspiration mister!
Let’s goo!!! Thank you so much for this my man. I truly appreciate it. Yeah RUclips can be a toxic place at times. Thanks for your encouragement

Amazing review. Really helping me to make decision.
No worries at all… its my pleasure
Good Stuff
Appreciate it and thank you
Your videos are a joy to watch Aubrey. I'm building my running mileage back up slowly to half-marathon distance after I run a half marathon (nearly) before I was ready and I wanna run a marathon too, maybe late this year. I've watched a few of Chris' videos and I enjoyed them a lot. Good luck with your training.
I truly believe that we are capable of more than we know. We just need a plan and remain disciplined to achieve it. Remaining focused is key. You’ve got this!
Mate, you're the real deal. Don't listen to all the nay sayers. Great week Aubrey. Stay true to the task. All the best for Wednesday. Have a happy 40th birthday. Celebrate in Style. Cheers! Phil

My dude. Welcome to Club 40+! You know I'm cheering you all the way. Proving to yourself that you can do it is definitely a solid reason why. Anyone saying otherwise is probably too busy playing Fortnight to do what you do. You're a legit runner. A good friend of mine runs regularly, but 12k might be the farthest he's gone and he has zero interest in racing. Never even done a parkrun. Is he a runner? Hell yeah. Keep racking up the k's, making last rep best rep and showing us how it's done! 💪 Let's go!
I needed this Craig. Thank you very much. Yeah we are definitely getting old 😂😂😂. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement, I’ll keep going for sure and fully knowing I’m definitely a runner but sometimes we do get rocked with toxicity on this platform.
@@AubreyRunning hey now - careful slinging the o-word around! You’re a spring chicken compared to some of us. :)
Do you reckon Noah Lyle is a runner? Fastest human over 200m at the moment. Bet he’s never done a marathon. You be you, Aubrey. We’re here for it.
Let’s go! I love this! Also can’t wait to see what he does at the olympics
@flobergruns
Let’s go… thank you!
Tell me I’m not the only one looking for a Womble on Wimbledon Common.
😂😂😂😂 have you ran there before?
🤞 Chicago?
I can definitely confirm that I won’t be running Chicago… maybe next year though if the ones I’ve got work out. At least that narrows it out
Just passed the big 4 0 last month myself.....I have a mental age of a 20yo, my knees and back of a 60 yo, so if you average it out, 40 makes sense.
😂😂😂😂 this cracked me up! Seriously cracked me up! Keep that mental age super young in that case
Aubrey, no one is an imposter. As long as you’re running, you’re a runner. Whatever the pace or the distance. Those who critic are probably not able to do what you do.
Love this! Thank you so much. I truly believe that too. Once in a while, these thing can get to you. Thank you for the motivational reminder though
